Terms & Conditions (Partners)

Last updated: July 2026 · Version 2.0

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding contract between Find a Local UK ("we", "us", "our") and the refurbishment company registering or using an account ("Partner", "you"). By ticking the consent box on sign-up, clicking "Create account", topping up credits, or otherwise using the platform at findalocaluk.com (the "Platform"), you confirm you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.

1. About us

Find a Local UK operates a private network that generates homeowner enquiries, qualifies them and books on-site survey appointments which are then allocated exclusively to approved Partners. Contact: office@find-a-local.uk, +44 7488 899638.

2. Eligibility & account approval

You must be a UK-based refurbishment business, be at least 18, and have authority to bind that business. We may verify your identity, insurance, references and financial standing before activating your buyer account and may refuse or revoke approval at our sole discretion. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, for keeping login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.

3. Nature of the service

We are an introducer. Each "survey" is a scheduled on-site quotation appointment with a UK homeowner who has confirmed a specific date and time. Surveys are allocated exclusively to one approved Partner — they are not shared leads. We do not guarantee that any survey will convert into paid works; conversion depends on your quote, presentation and follow-up. We are not a party to any contract you subsequently enter into with the homeowner.

4. Credits, pricing & payment

  • You top up your buyer account with survey credits. A credit is deducted only when an exclusive booked appointment is allocated to you.
  • Pay-as-you-go credits are individually priced (typically £150–£250 per credit); the specific price is shown before you pay.
  • Custom, monthly and Partner Plan (e.g. 20 credits + 5% commission on closed jobs) offers are governed by the specific terms shown on the checkout page and in your invoice.
  • All prices are in GBP and, unless stated otherwise, exclude VAT. Payments are collected by Stripe; you authorise us to charge the payment method you provide.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is active but are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by consumer or UK GDPR / statutory law or under §5 below.

5. Invalid survey protection

If an allocated survey is invalid — wrong number, fake enquiry, homeowner did not request a quote, or the job falls outside the coverage/service you agreed — contact us within 7 days of the appointment date. At our discretion we will return the credit, replace the appointment or refund the pay-as-you-go top-up used. No refunds are given for cancellations by the Partner, missed appointments due to the Partner, or after the 7-day window.

6. Partner obligations

  • Attend booked appointments on time and behave professionally.
  • Hold all licences, qualifications and insurance required by law for the work you quote.
  • Do not bypass the Platform (e.g. contacting a homeowner off-platform to avoid credits or commission) — this is a material breach.
  • Comply with all applicable law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, Building Regulations, HSE requirements and UK GDPR.
  • Only use homeowner data received via the Platform to deliver the specific quotation and works, in accordance with §7 below.

7. Data protection — homeowner data you receive

When we release a homeowner's personal data to you, you become an independent data controller of that data. You must (a) process it only to deliver the survey and any resulting quotation / works; (b) not add it to a marketing list without a fresh lawful basis; (c) keep it secure and delete it when no longer needed; and (d) honour the homeowner's UK GDPR rights promptly. You will indemnify us against any losses arising from your breach of this clause.

8. Consent to communications

By creating an account you consent to receive transactional emails (account, allocation, billing), a short onboarding email sequence and service updates by email, phone, SMS and WhatsApp. You may withdraw consent for non-essential communications at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us — this does not affect the lawfulness of communications before withdrawal.

9. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for breach of these Terms, non-payment, suspected fraud, insolvency, abusive conduct, or where required by law. You may close your account any time by emailing us — outstanding credits are non-refundable unless purchased in the past 14 days and never redeemed (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 apply to consumer contracts only).

10. Warranties & liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms — whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise — is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic loss, loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data or anticipated savings. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Intellectual property

The Platform, its software, content and branding are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for the purposes set out here.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
