This Policy explains how Find a Local UK ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and safeguards your personal data when you request a refurbishment survey via findalocaluk.com. It is issued under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR.
By submitting the survey request form you consent to the processing described below, including the release of your contact details and project brief to one vetted refurbishment company ("Partner") so they can contact you and carry out the on-site survey.

We do not sell personal data and do not share your contact details with more than one Partner without a fresh instruction from you.
Where processors are outside the UK/EEA, transfers are covered by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or equivalent Art. 46 UK GDPR safeguards.
Survey request and related communications: up to 6 years for dispute, quality and tax records. Marketing preferences: until you opt out. Server logs / analytics: typically 12–26 months. Backups: rolling schedule up to 90 days after primary deletion. You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see §8.
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the site plus, with your consent, analytics, session-replay and advertising cookies (including Meta Pixel and Google Analytics). Withdraw consent at any time via your browser settings or by emailing us. Blocking non-essential cookies does not stop you submitting the form.
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, object to processing (including direct marketing) and withdraw consent at any time. Email office@find-a-local.uk — we respond within 30 days. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, hashed credentials, role-based access, database row-level security and continuous logging. Where a breach affects your rights, we will notify the ICO within 72 hours and you as soon as reasonably possible.
The service is intended for adults (18+) and not marketed to children.
