These terms apply when you — a UK homeowner (18+) — request a refurbishment site survey through findalocaluk.com. Together with our Homeowner Privacy Policy they form a binding agreement between you and Find a Local UK("we", "us", "our"). By submitting the request form you confirm you have read and accept these terms and expressly consent to us passing your details to a matched Partner.
We are an introducer. We pass the brief, contact details and address you provide to one vetted refurbishment company ("Partner") in our network who covers your area and matches your project. The Partner then contacts you directly to arrange an on-site survey and quotation. We do not carry out, supervise, guarantee or warrant the works.
The introduction and the on-site survey are free of charge to you. You are under no obligation to accept any quote or to hire the Partner you meet.
By clicking "Get my matches" (or equivalent) you consent to us disclosing your name, contact details, postcode / property address and project brief to the matched Partner for the purposes of providing your survey. You may withdraw consent at any time before we release the data by emailing office@find-a-local.uk; after release the Partner will process your data as an independent controller under their own privacy notice.
By submitting a request you consent that we and the matched Partner may contact you by email, phone, SMS and WhatsApp about your survey and related follow-ups. You can withdraw consent to non-essential communications at any time by replying STOP, using an unsubscribe link, or emailing us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Any quotation, contract, payment and the works themselves are solely between you and the Partner. We are not a party to that contract. Before signing anything you should check the Partner's insurance, references, written quote, cancellation rights (Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) and any deposit terms.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer-protection law.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct, workmanship, delays, cancellations, costs or any loss arising from your engagement with a Partner. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you submit a request. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
